Live Animal Shows
Includes a variety of lizards, snakes, and amphibians. We discuss their habitats and adaptations they have developed to survive, and we will bring the animals up close for everyone to see.
Covers Science Core Strands: K.2, 1.2, 2.2, 3.2, 4.1, 5.3, 6.4, 7.5, and 9-12 Bio.1

Peoples and Culture Outreach Programs
Exploring the Past, Creating the Future
Native American
This presentation covers different technology that the Native Americans used before and during the Wild West era, what resources they had, and how they used them in their everyday lives. We go over some of the different dwellings, hunter and gatherer lifestyle, and the variety of cultures.
Add a craft:
Rock Art $2 per student: We go over the different types of Native American rock art, petroglyphs, and pictographs. The students are given a plaster plate that they can do their own “Rock Art” on and tell their own stories. This activity is for 2nd grade and up.
Medicine Bags $4 per student: This portion teaches about the medicine bag and what they were used for, as well as the importance of the items placed in them. Each student will be given a medicine bag to make, and we will supply different items that can be placed in the bag. This activity is recommended for 4th grade and up.

Western Expansion Outreach Programs
Wild West
The growth of the west, including mining, farming, and ranching. A brief history of the evolution of communication in the west from the Pony Express, its beginnings and how it influenced the west, to the telegraph system that allowed accelerated communication from the East to the West. We will also discuss how the transcontinental railroad changed the way the west was settled, making travel safer and faster.

Western Settlement
The arrival of the pioneers to the Utah area and discuss how life was for those that traveled across the plains and what they did to survive. See pioneer artifacts and what they were used for.

Rocks and Minerals
This presentation includes hands-on specimens and activities. We go over the different rock formations, Igneous, Metamorphic, and Sedimentary, as well as minerals and the uses of geology in everyday life.

Paleontology
Includes hands-on fossils and discusses what fossils are, the diverse ways they are formed, and why they are especially important for learning about the past. Activities can include a puzzle of a dinosaur and a fossil matching game.
