Join Our Team as an Intern or Volunteer

Interns and volunteers play a pivotal role in the success of the Hutchings Museum’s mission. Volunteers must be 14+. Mature children may be allowed to volunteer with a parent to clean glass cases or other simple and parentally supervised roles.

Along with Jackson Birrell, a Ph.D. student at the University of Montana, we will be collecting samples and data that will aid future watershed management and our ability to predict how aquatic insect communities will respond to climate change.

Help save the dying population of monarch butterflies by volunteering to help plant and count milkweed and raise monarchs in the spring.

Volunteers can help the Hutchings Museum Institute reach our goal of creating 600 feminine hygiene kits for Madagascar.

Utah Lake Field Station

Wildlife survey being conducted to assess the plants and animals currently living here to plan for

  • Eradication of invasive species

  • Identification of all potential threats and viable solutions in partnership with state agencies

Live Animal Show

Live Animal Shows

The Museum holds weekly animal shows on Wednesdays at 4:00 pm. Volunteers have the opportunity to participate in shows and take care of animals after going through training.
