Block 16(40), Lots 2 and 33Paulinus Harvey Allred (1829-1900) of Knox County, Tennessee, received the Mayor’s deed for the western half of Lot 2 and for all of lot 3 on Block 40, in 1871. His adobe home, depicted at Position 19 on the 1890 Sanborn map, must have stood just west of the log schoolhouse in 18604. 30-year-old P. H. Allred, his wife, 34-year-old Melissa Isabell Norton Allred (1824-1892), and six children, in dwelling 3427 were in the home in 1860 Census. The Merrihew Building at 96 West Main Street is on the site today. Melissa Allred died in Lehi in 1892. Paulinus died there in 1900.
