Victorian Hair Art

After the loss of loved ones from the Cholera epidemic, the Civil War, and the Smallpox epidemic people made hair art from the hair of the deceased that they called funeral art. Marry Ann Davis, a deaf women, created these pieces of art using the hair of relatives. 

The pioneer Room has a large collection of Pioneer era tools used by early settlers in Utah and give insight into the way the pioneers lived.
